Why is my American Express card not being accepted when purchasing in certain non-USD currencies?

SUMMARY

When using an American Express card to place an order, you may choose to pay in several currencies. The list of available currencies for use with American Express is different to the list of currencies available when using other payment methods such as Visa or MasterCard accounts.

MORE INFORMATION

The currencies supported for American Express orders are as follows:

  • AUD
  • EUR
  • GBP
  • HKD
  • JPY
  • NZD
  • SGD
  • USD

If you need to pay using a different currency, consider using a Visa or MasterCard account, if one is available.  You may also be able to purchase a pre-paid Visa gift card and use that for your online purchase.
